'Everybody loves you when you're dead' by Neil Strauss

Hey guys,

Oh it's been a whole week since my last post xD Sry, I've been so busy!

I finally finished this amazing book I can only recommand you :) It's such a cool book, yes I'm using the word cool to describe it.

It's called 'Everybody loves you when you're dead' by the New York Times & Rolling Stones magazin autor  and journalist Neil Strauss:

What's it about?

Well, in this amazing piece of art you can find really amazing, interesting, funny but also sad (sometimes) interviews with many many celebreties and important people.

He's showing his best interviews with actors and musicians; a chat with Tom Cruise about Scientologie; getting spiritual with Lady Gaga; chilling with Snoop Dog; meeting the Diva Madonna; and interviews with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Neil Young, Courtney Love, Prince, Trent Rezor, Johnny Cash, Jackie Chan, Paris Hilton, Justin Timberlake, Ozzy crazy Osborn, Bruce Sprinsteen, Marilyn Manson, … bands like R.E.M, System of a down, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Pink Floyd, Radio Head, Korn, … and many many more!!! ;-)

And a cup of tea and some piece of lemon cake will complete a good book night! ;P

You'll read me soon again ;)

Don't forget to enter my Butter London Giveaway (on the sidebar). You have two more days until it ends!!!

NOTD - Essie 'To Buy Or Not To Buy'

Well fashion peeps,

Today's Nail Of The Day : Essie 'To Buy Or Not To Buy'

from the Essie Spring Collection 'Navigate Her'

I didn't have to ask myself that question more than once. It just poked my eyes right away!

It's just the perfect Spring color for ME. In my favorite color: purple!!!

You probably already know that pastel colors are IN this Spring. If not, now you do ;P

It's a lavender with shimmer! I used 2 coats of it and you really need at least 2, if not 3 to get a good coverage.

WHAT I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS COLOR?

Well just take a closer look at it :)

ZOOM

Can you see the blue and the red sparkles in it? :D Amazing I know.

FLASH LIGHT

(Please just look at the color not at my skin! -.-" I'm trying to limit the damage)

And the answer to the question 'to buy or not to buy' should be YES ^^

The price is +/- 9,50€/8$

Do I have to convice you more?

AND DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY APRIL GIVEAWAY! YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO WIN TWO BEAUTIFUL BUTTER LONDON POLISHES :)

Primer review! Essence vs. Clarins vs. Urban Decay

Heeey guys,

I'm showing you some eyeshadow bases or primers as you probably call them, I've been using so far.

They are completly different from each other, with different price classes and different in application.

Starting with essence: I <3 STAGE eyeshadow base

This eyeshadow base has a nice creamy texture. It’s nude shade and it doesn’t contain shimmer. It contains 4ml of product which could be more. I’ve used it a couple of times and it worked nicely for me. It stayed in place for hours on my eyelids, I'd say it can last at least 8-10 hours which is long for a drugstore eyeshadow base. You can get it for only 2,45€.
The brush is very good to work with while applying it on the lid but you have to use your fingers to get it really equal and it needs a bit time to dry

Pros: The brush/applicator, the price & the lasting
Cons: drying time, the color (it could be a bit lighter) & the amount

You probably have seen a brush like this only for lipgloss! ^^
And I love using this one when I don't have much time to get ready and only need a nude look on my lids.

The 2nd primer is by Clarins: Instant Light "Eye Perfecting Base"

I love that it is a natural skin tone and blends into the skin so you get a more true color for the eyeshadow once applied. It keeps my eyeshadow on its place almost the whole day, let's say 10-12 hours. I don´t see the color of the eyeshadow changing only keeping the eyeshadow longer on your eyelids.
On the plus side, the package is convenient and the product did not irritate my eyes.
This product helps erase that “tired look” it also keeps eye makeup looking fresh all day. It comes in a pencil applicator that you must twist so there is no waiste. With the price of about 13€ it is quite expensive but a great product and you don’t need a lot of it.

Pros: Color, the pencil brush/applicator, lasting & package
Cons: Price

Last but not least: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Base

I love this primer!!!
It evens out my skin tone, helps bring out the true colour of shadows, and makes eye makeup stick like glue. I find that it glides on very easily with no tugging to the delicate skin and for me it stays all day like over 16-18 hours and it doesn't crease (at least for me).

By far, the best eye primer I've tried!!! :D I owe the Original and Eden primer potions.
There are two more potions that are darker

However, like others, I hate the packaging. I could never tell how much product is left in the bottle, so I feel like a lot was going to be wasted and left behind in the curves and it's hard to reach unless you - quite literally - open the container.

Although I really like this eyeshadow primer, I think there are others on the market that do just as good of a job for a lower price, as this one costs 16€.

Pros: The color(s), lasting & design
Cons: The price & the package

IT'S UP TO YOU TO MAKE A CHOICE

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PRIMER??? ^^

With Love,

Irsada ;)

Zoeva mail arrived! ^^

Hey,

It's been some time since I ordered anything online but I just couldn't resist when I saw this eyeshadow palette, the lip palette and the make-up brushes.

This is the Zoeva Mettalic Stones eyeshadow palette, really beautiful shades and some colors are told to be dupes to Mac cosmetics eyeshadows :) I already fell in love with some colors!

And this is the Sweet Love Lip palette!
Amazing colors for the lips from baby pink to berry red ^^

And last but not least the Zoeva brush set I ordered, it's an basic brush set with 12 brushes, the first set I bought cuz normally I always buy brushes seperately from all kind of brands. They are all handmade ;)

Can't wait to try my new babies :D

Barry M. Lavender over Catrice Lucky in Lilac!!!

It's beem almost a week since my last post but here I am again with a new one, showing you the nail art I've been wearing some days ago.

If you are reading my blog often you might have find out that I love purple and so it's not very surprising to see my nails purple again :) I can't stop myself sometimes.

That's what I'm talking about:

(SORRY FOR MY SKIN)

I used one coat of Catrice's Lucky in Lilac #130 and then two coats of Barry M. Lavender #239

The price of both polishes is amazing, almost 3€ for the Catrice polish and as I remember 5,50€ for the Barry M. polish.
The formula of Catrice is really great with a long thin brush, so has the same Barry M. but the formula is a bit different as you probably have figured out using a glitter polish. It's just a bit difficult to place the little plates equally on the finger nail, you need to be patient but it's worth the result ;)
Lucky in Lilac is a pretty violet color that has a good coverage so you just need one coat as base.
Barry M. Lavender is a transparent polish/topper with little purple/lavender plates that are kind of foil and sometimes have a pink reflection but besides that there are also little silver glitter points that you can see on the last picture a bit! I LOVE this polish...

If I had to describe these nail look the best I would probably say it's like wearing a PURPLE DISCO BALL on your nails :D
I got so many compliments for this look, I was surprised myself. Definitely gonna repeat this look.

Also I think it's pretty cool for Easter ;)

Thanks for reading!

Megan Hot Fox!

Hi ho,

Just a short post today, as I don't have much time and much to say and show. I'm so busy the last days/weeks and I'll have to start learing pretty soon for my exams in June. But I'll try my best to delight you with as much post as I can do ;)

So for today I just wanted to show you the magazine I picked up in a store, with Megan Fox on the cover. God damn her, doesn't she look hot hot hot? She's such a hot damn chick, if I were a boy… if I were lesbian… LOL

I especially love her eyebrowes, the lips (even if they are fake - they don't look that fake after all or exaggerated) and she has really beautiful blue eyes and the form of them :) Got to love her, even if she's a diva sometimes.

And these items I got yesterday from a very lovely and nice girl from my work place. For free :D
She got them in her glossybox but wouldn't use them so she offered them to me. I can't get the glossybox or joliebox or any other box with beauty and cosmetic items, as they don't seem to deliver to Luxembourg (where I live) but she lives in France and so it was a big deal for me being the new owner of them.

So these are highlighter perls and bronzer pearls from the brand Guy Bernard (which I didn't know until now) and a shimmer & shine lip gloss from the brand I love… raspberry & blackberry (I guess that's the whole name of it as there aren't more information)

I haven't used them so far. But the lip gloss smells just amazing and the shimmer pearls seem to be very good too but maybe YOU can tell me more about that brand?!

Thanks for stopping by!
