My favorite lipsticks!

Heeey guys,

First of all, before I start with the actual post I just wanted to say sorry for not posting anything in the last 2-3 weeks, this time it wasn't because I was too busy, it was all due to stupid circomstances... I was going to do an UNBOXING post about a package from a dear friend abroad (USA), so I was waiting and hoping it would arrive quite soon but it all took longer, like it was send almost a month ago and I still didn't get it :(
We both don't know but it seems like for some reason it arrived here in Luxembourg (where I live) and then was send to Switzerland, no idea why and some day ago, since my friend was finally able to find the tracking number and track it down, it looks like on Friday it was send back to Luxembourg :) So I hope I'll get it on Monday.

I just couldn't wait anymore, it drove me crazy that things went wrong so here is an actually non planned post!!!

Since I was tagged on Instagram a few days ago by the lovely @poppy_mallone asking me to show up my favorite lipsticks, which I already did with this first picture below (>>>@Irsada_lxbg<<<) I decided to take that idea further and do a blogpost with some swatches for you guys ^^

It was kind of hard but I had it down to these 9 lipsticks that I love over everything and that I'll buy over and over again as soon as they are finished.

SWATCHES using natural day light

MAC Ruby Woo
Bold red matte color. I barely wear red lipstick because I always believe it doesn't suit me or let's just say it out loud, I look like a russian whore with it but this one is one of the few that I can wear without doubt :)

MAC Rebel
Pink plum with satin finish. Not only one of my favorite lipsticks. I guess everyone owns it. One of Mac's bestsellers I would say.

Maybelline Brazen Beige
light peachy beige color, from the Maybelline Color Sensational Stripped Nudes that came out last year.

YSL Rouge Volupté n°1
creamy natural pinky beige. This one feels so creamy on the lips! Also well pigmented.

Calvin Klein Retro
actually the real name is delicious truth. It's a very sheer candy pink. It's more of a decent color on the lips with a hint of shiny pink.

Swarovski Crystal Vintage Rose
soft rose color that contains candelilla wax and powdered Swarovski crystals and iridescent pearl.

Bobbi Brown Pale Pink
natural pink, more peachy toned thought but well pigmented and with a creamy matte finish

Flormar supershine n° 508
light redish color with supershine creamy texture and kind of a metalic finish

MAC Brave
nude pink color, comes off a bit brownish and has a satin finish

Yeah I'm more into pinky natural colors and sometimes it overcomes me and I choose a more vibrant color like Mac Ruby Woo or Rebel but all in all I like more of a classic look on the lips, then I go for more color on the eyes ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and kisses :***

Favorites of 2014

Hiii guys,

I put all my makeup favorites of 2014 for you together!

In the beginning of 2014 I got the Lorac Pro and a bit later the Urban Decay Naked 3. If you like a lot of neutral matte to shiny shades from light to dark then I suggest you the Lorac Pro palette and if you are more into neutral pinky colors then you need to get the Naked 3.

When it comes to highlighting and contouring, I loved the Maybelline Fit Me sticks a lot, they have a few shades from very light to very dark but if you blend them good in they can be the perfect base before you apply highlight and bronzer powder. If you scroll a bit down you can see that I reviewed these Fit Me sticks and how I use them.
I would sometimes use my Bourjouis chocolate bronzer over it and depending on how shiny I want my face to look like I would often swith from my MAC Rihanna Diamonds Frost to NYX Born to glow liquid illuminator, both are really good pigmented.
For the under eye part, in the morning when you wake up and you look like a zombie, I like to use the NARS radiant creamy concealer. This concealer is simply amazing, it works better on me than the Bourjouis healthy mix éclat & anti-fatigue correcting concealer.
And to fix, especially the under eye part, I like to use loose powder and my favorite has become the MaxFactor Ellen Betrix loose powder. I just tap my Real Techniques setting brush into it and then put some over my radiant concealer. You can't do anything wrong using those two products together ;)

In Spring I purchased the Benefit Sugarbomp blush, it's a rush flush, 4 shades that you have to swirl to get the perfect mix of pop of color on your cheeks. Like all Benefit blushes, really beautiful and all day staying!

For the eyebrows you can't find any better products than those from Anastasia Beverly Hill, they really do what they promise. I got the dip brow pomade in "Chocolate" and can't imaging life without it anymore.

From the brows to the eyes. Gel liner. Bobbi Brown... Do I have to say more? I don't think so. Buy it! You won't deny it.

And back to Anastasia Beverly Hills.
After summer I got my hands on the ABH Amrezy palette which is absolutely georgous I think every great MUA has reviewed this palette with big excitement & loved it and so do I. MUST HAVE PALETTE!!!!

Last but not least: mascaras.
There were 3 apart from my Benefit They're real mascara, that I also loved to use.
Artdeco Wonder Lash mascara, this mascara is told to be the exaclty same as the famous Chanel mascara, whose exact I can't tell you right now. It does a really great job.
Catrice Glamour Doll volume mascara, in case you don't want to spend that much money this is a really great drugstore mascara that I'll keep buying as soon as I'm out of it.
And of course a new love that I discovered: L'Oréal Faux-Cils papillon or better known as the butterfly mascara! Really like the brush, it makes them longer and the formula isn't that clumpy.

That's it for 2014. Last chapter closed!

If you wonder why I haven't picked any foundations, it's because I practically used always the same in 2014 but since 2015 started I already tried 2 new foundations and also 2 new mascaras plus one eyebrow product that I fell in love with but that I will all tell you more specifically in another post ;)

Have a nice week

Celebrity Inspired Make-up Look: Demi Lovato!

Welcome to my blog!

So I saw this look on Demi Lovato that she was wearing on X-factor, about 4-5 months ago and I liked it a lot. Then they did a little print tutorial in the German Intouch magazin a bit later with suggestions of make-up that could be used to create this look and so I decided to go for it and try it out. But like always I'm running late with the post since my life became so busy.

I gotta say I really like the orange-turquoise color combination. It's kind of a great look for spring and summer ^^ It fits her outfit she was wearing that day but I believe you can wear it also with more normal clothes, a summer dress or sth like that, and rock the look :)

My Demi Look:

PRODUCTS USED

Face:
P2 Perfect Face Oil Control Base
REVLON PhotoReady Foundation in #004 Nude
Bourjois Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer in #51 Light Radiance
Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder (for contouring)
Bobbi Brown Shimmer  Brick in "Pink Quartz" (for highlighting)
Benefit Coralista Blush
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in #006 warm beige

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
Maybelline Big Eyes Palette in #01 Luminous Brown (orange and middle white color)
Urban Decay "Chopper"
Catrice Eye Shadow Pen in C02 Birds Flying High (turquoise color)
Rimmer London Extra WOW Lash + Benefit They're Real! Mascara
Sephora Long-lasting Eye Liner
Maybelline Master Drama Khol Liner (water line)
Essence eyebrow Stylist Set (dark color)

Lips:
Sleek MakeUp Pout Polish in #964 Peach Perfection (for moiztrizing)
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in #612 Peach Pearl Diamonds

I thickened my eyes brows more than I would personally wear but Demi has so thick and fuzzy eyebrows compared to mine that I didn't wanna fill them in too much and make it look like I'm wearing two dark brown beams over my eyes ;) And yes I am aware of the fact that they are probably not symmetrical (which they probably never are since I'm very bad in filling them in or even shaping them). Also does Demi seem to wear some fake lashes but I would only put some one if I would wear this look for a night out. In that case I would use some individual lashes that you can place everywhere you wanna create dramatic long lashes.

Closer look

I'm already looking forward to show you which other celebrity looks I like too and would wear myself ;) Many more to come!

Have a nice weekend!!!!!!

My first post of this year was also an celebrity inspiring look. If you wanna know how what my Kristen Stewart make-up look looked like click >>>HERE<<<

Much love,

My Favorite Products Of 2012

Heeeey,

before I never do this post, I'll do it now ;)

So these are basically the products/goodies I liked using the most in 2012. Kind of a lot, most of them you've seen in previous posts, others I probably need to swatch and talk a bit more about ;)

FOR THE EYES & FACE

Urban Decay 15th anniversary palette
Urban Decay Naked 2 palette
Sleek Oh So Special palette
Maybelline color tattoo #40 Permanent taupe
Urban Decay Mary Jane
Maybelline Quads in #40 Green With Envy (in Europe available under #22 Bronze Drama) & #50 Taupe Temptress

My Zoeva Metallic Stones palette that inclueds like every shade of color and is very pigmented :) Now this one I really need to swatch for you soon!

Sleek Face Contour Kit in #884 Light
Catrice gel eyeliner
Laura Mercier Oil free foundation primer
Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion in "Eden"
Maybelline master drama khol liner in "Ultra Black"
Maybelline the Falsies Volume Express mascara
YSL Rouge Volupté #1
Clinique chubby stick in #04 Mega Melon
Maybelline Super Stay 24 color in #510 Red Passion (the one from the commercial)
Bobbi Brown Pink Quarz shimmer brick compact
Benefit "Coralista" blush
Nars "Orgasm" blush

Benefit Hello Flawless in "Honey"
Flomar Mat touch in #M308 Far Ivory & #M306 Pastelle and Flomar Pervect Coverage foundation in #102 Soft Beige

The flomar foundations work so perfectly for my skin, this not so known brand totally convinced me, I'm practically using only these althought I have high brand foundations in my storage I prefer these. They are available at Douglas (a german perfumery) for 10€.

FOR THE HAIR

BC Bonacure hairtherapy Repair Rescue sealed ends
treatment for damaged ends
BC Bonacure hairtherapy Repair Rescue shampoo
for damaged hair
Wella Brilliance mask
for fine to normal, colored hair

These 3 products in combination with each other, are soooooo amazing. My hair used to be damaged a lot for quite a time, since I colored them from blond back to dark, especially the ends. The ends were like damaged all the time and it was hard to hide it, but since I started using these products a few weeks ago my hair feels like totally recovered. I already noticed a difference after the 2nd time using them. I am so fascinatied by these products that I'll keep buying them even if they cost about 45€ all together. It's worth it!

FOR NAILS

Now this was a hard choice since I would have another 20 if I could have... but I reduced it to these 14.

First row:
Seche Vite topcoat - Barry M. croco nail effect - Barry M. #239 Lavender - Barry M. #297 Blue Glitter - Kiko #341 - Manhatten #96S - Manhatten #81R
Second row:
Estée Lauder #26 Metallic Sage - Nicole by OPI "It starts with me" - butter London "Rosie Lee" - Catrice #840 Genius in the bottle - Chanel #531 Peridot - OPI "Warm & Fozzie" - Nicole by OPI "Prized Possession Purple"

I reviewed and swatched all of these polishes last year, so you can find more informations when you look under the labels! ;)

May 2013 be a good year for new goodies!!!!

Here I go again!

Bye bye,

Irsada

What's In My Make-up Bag???

Hey Hooooo,

I've seen lots of "What's In My Make-up Bag" posts and youtube videos, so it was a matter of time to join this madness ^^ It's always fascinating to see what kind of products other girls are carring with them and gives you a good idea of which products they can't live without.

I'll guess I'll have to start with the brand of my make-up bag. This make-up bag is by Tally Weijl. I have like at least 10 but this is my favorite one when it comes to my everyday use.

I don't like to carry around a lot because I don't like when my bag feels heavy therefore I don't carry foundation, nor blush nor any brushes with me cuz they take too much space. That are the MUST DOs before I leave the house, otherwise I wouldn't leave the house with at least those basics.

  • benefit "Hello falwless" compact powder in Honey: I apply it after my foundation and when I'm on the road I use the mirror of it to check my make-up and fix some parts in case of it.
  • essence 3 in 1 concealer: one of the best inventions ever! The green color is for red spots/zits, the pink color is for under the eyes, for tired eyes to make them not look tired anymore and the beige color you use over the foundation when you can still see some color differences or over the other two colors to neutralize them/adapt them to the rest of the face.
  • Maybelline color tattoo #40 "Permanent Taupe": one of the many color tattoos and my absolutly favorite color of them. It's taupe. In case you don't know this color, google it!!! You miss on something great. This color is really really good for every occasion.
  • Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara in Black Drama: one of the best mascaras ever! You really get what they promise. (review to come)
  • Maybelline master drama khol liner: the best eyeliner if you want a really black line to contour your eyes or on the waterline. It stay on forever! :D
  • Clinique chubby stick in #05 chunky cherry, #04 mega melon & #10 bountiful blush: these are tinted lip balsams! I carry them in 3 different colors with me, and I might buy even more of them. They are really perfect for the winter season. I'll post some swatches in the next days.
  • YSL rouge volupté in #1 lipstick: I love this pink color... the smell of it not so much but the consistency again is quite perfect and the color holds forever.
  • MAC "Brave" lipstick: the first mac lipstick I bought! From the name you can tell that the color  is quite a decent color, light pink, matt, not too light, not too dark.
  • Bobbi Brown #21 "Pale Pink" lipstick: the only bobbi brown lipstick I owe for the moment but there are more on my wishlist since I absolutely love the formula of it and it also seems to hold forever on the lips and in this case. comparing it to the YSL and MAC lipsticks, I really love the smell of it .
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion mini in Original: I actually prefer the Eden potion but I carry this mini with me on days I don't wear any eyeshadow but all of a sudden decide to wear one or all of a sudden have to go somewhere but don't have much time to do a dramatic eye make-up look. I apply it on my eyelids before I apply Permanent Taupe.
  • essence eyebrow stylist set: I like this little set of two colors. It's a nice set for little money. I mostly use the darker color of it.

These products are the basics I carry with me and also some of my favorite products for the moment. I think I will soon do another post with swatches of them ^^ sometimes I throw some additional stuff in my make-up bag! And the products can also change from season to season so there might be some more What's In My Make-up Bag posts in the future!!! ;)

I hope you enjoyed this post! For me it was fun to open up my bag for you. :)

What beauty items do you absolutely HAVE to have
in your make-up bag?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Bobbi Brown Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick!

Bonjour/Bonsoir!

Time for a new post :)

Today I'm introducing you to a magnificent multitasking Shimmer Brick:
the Bobbi Brown Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick!

What Bobbi Brown says about it:

This shimmering, brush-on powder creates a soft, warm pink glow. Works well with neutral and pink blush shades.
To apply: Sweep the Face Blender Brush through all five shades of Shimmer Brick Compact and dust lightly on cheekbones after blush. Focus on applying shimmer on the top of cheekbones - where light naturally hits the face - for the most flattering look.

This is the first shimmer brick I have bought and the first product I have from Bobbi Brown. It gives a very subtle glow to my cheekbones. It looks great on fairer skintones.  I like how you can use the stripes individually as eyeshadows or to highlight smaller areas. It takes a small amount of this to create such a lovely effect. I would be tempted by some of the other colors if they weren't so pricey! It costs about 45€ in Europe, but it's worth every single €. I use this product almost everyday, it has become my favorite blush too and it feels like it last forever. I bought it beginning Mars and it looks like almost not used :D
Unfortuantely I can't get it here in Luxembourg, I had to drive to Germany -.-

1st color is a very soft pink highlighter color (the lightest of the brick), 2nd color (darkest color of the brick) is a shimmery brown, 3rd color is a greyish-pink color, 4th color is a pink (a bit matter color comparing to the other), and the 5th color is a pinky-brown color!

SWATCHES:

Without flash, from L to R: beginning with the lightes color!

 With flash! Same order!

As a my camera probably can't show you the real beauty of these colors, I found this great swatch :D

 Credits to: http://karlasugar.net/author/admin/

And that's what the colors look like on my lid and on my cheek:

I recommend using them as eyeshadows if you want to create a decent look, like a no-makeup-makeup look ;)

I used the 5th color on the whole lid, the 2nd color (the brown) as eye liner, the 1st color in the inner corner of the lid and right under my eyes as highlighter AND all the colors mixed together as blush on my cheeks ^^

I love applying the highlighter color with a fan brush under my eyes. It gives a fresh look but not too shimmery (although it reflect a lot on the picture above, it's not that simmery)

Thanks for your visit :)

Read you soon again!
