NOTD - 'Dream On' by Sinful Colors

Hiiii guys,

If you like fuchsia then you'll like the color I picked for my NOTD post!

It's from the brand Sinful Colors Professional and is called 'Dream On' :)

Pardon but I don't know what happed while shooting these pictures, I somehow managed to get something dark on my ringfinger and I didn't even notice until I loaded the pictures up xD

Actually this colors is matte as you can see here below but I like it more with a top coat over it! For me this is totally fuchsia, but maybe you could also say it's a neon popping purple and in the right light it has some amazing bright tones to it.

I applied it over my grown out gel nails (which I filled off quite a bit with a machine I have at home). I applied 2 thin coats and then my Seche Vite top coat.

Funny story, I can't remember when I actually bought this nailpolish, it wasn't recently for sure cuz this year I promised myself I'll stop being such a nailpolish maniac, so it must have been last year. I even forgot I have this polish but I found him in my storage and I fell in love with it all over again. I love this color, it's so 'damn in your face' and perfect to end a summer with.
I'd say this is one of the most beautiful colors Sinful Colors professional brought out and a must-have color for the nails.

Primark haul :)

Hey guys,

I'm back with a little Primark haul. I've been to Saarbrücken last week but I didn't find the time to do this post until now, I had some time management problems and then when I was ready to write this post my camera wouldn't upload all the pictures I made pfffff but now the problem is fixed and here is some of the stuff I bought at Primark.

Starting some jewellery!

I love Primark jewellery. You can get really great necklaces, bracelets, earrings for almost nothing there. Awwww and it's probably the one thing I can't leave without, I really can't go home without buying at least one new chain or something else from their accessoires.

So I bought two new chains. One with gold hareware and one big pearl and another one with lots of white pearls and a golden heart as pendant, plus the bracelet that goes with it. I think they were all 2,5 €, maybe the one with the big pearl was slightly more expensive. I trow the price tag away when I got home since I wanted to wear it like immediately.

And I don't know what happened to my mental wellbeing but the moment I saw they had quite a big range of hairbands in all colors and forms, I couldn't hold myself together. I grabbed 4 of 100 lol And I'm not even the typ of person that wears hairbands but as already said I just needed to those 4 and yes I might be that kind of girl that buys stuff she's never gonna even use but it's good to have them.. lol you never know. Althought I already wore one of these to a friend's wedding haaaa it was worth it.

I also bought this neon pink little wallet, or even clutch? Whatsoever I needed a smaller wallet because I have a Tory Burch wallet that doesn't fit in my smaller bags/clutches. I find it super cute and super affordable with only 5 € as price.

Primark Shoes... the second thing I can't go home without! I also always have to buy at least one pair of shoes at Primark or I won't feel good or I'll feel like the mission wasn't completed. lol you understand! These were 15 € if I'm not wrong.

Last but not least I bought this 'Rolling Stones' tshirt for only 10 €, and actually 3 more tshirts but those were basic tank tops in 3 different colors, didn't feel like mentioning them in this post.

I love those kind of shopping trips to different cities from time to time. And god knows I love Primark, you can find so many good stuff, and sometimes too much of everything. Whatsoever I do dislike the fact that they do not pay their employee the fairtrade way but there are so many other brands that don't do that. And I hate people that tell you don't buy their stuff, but they still do it... But this is not that kind ob blog where I wanna start discussions about politics or productions! I did notice that from the first time I bought there and the last time, I did change my buying habits. Now I buy less and I became more picky when it comes to their stuff.

Thanks for reading!!!

Next post is almost ready for upload ;)

NOTD - Copy that look

Hey guys,

Here I am again! And I'm bringing you my newest nail design along. Since today is an important day in one of my friends life because she's getting married, I wanted to do my nails such as I saw them on a picture that popped up on my instagram wall some time ago.

This is what I'm talking about!!! Cute hein??? YESH super cute if you ask me :=D

And this is what I was able to create on my nails :)

Not such professional like above but I think I did quite a good job if you consider that I actually always suck at drawing hearts lol

I used following outils to create this look:

  • two layers of p2 670 elegant, waited until fully dry
  • then I draw the hearts on the tips of my nails using the essence nail art duo stylist which is a dotting tool. I used the bigger side! I just dotted the bigger side in a few drops of Catrice's 690 Fred Said Red and then dotted the nailpolish on the end of my nails
  • once that coat dried too I applied my favorite top coat by Seche vite et voilà ^^
Okay, now I have to go and prepare already some stuff for today!

I wish you a nice weekend ;)

W7 In The Buff vs. UD NAKED 2

Hey guys,

I recently ordered some new makeup and discovered that there is a palette that looks just like one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes! It's from a brand called w7, heard already a lot about it but wasn't able to find it anywhere near or online until now. So I just couldn't resist to order and test it! So here is my review with swatches and thoughts ^^

Both are housed in a tin and hold 12 neutral shades.
While the Naked 2 has the dual ended Good Karma Shadow Brush, the w7 comes with a dual ended sponge tip and brush applicator.

The packaging of the Naked 2 palette looks so mucher better made than the In the Buff palette. The only advantage about the In The Buff palette is that it is less havier than the Naked 2 palette, slightly bigger thought but nothing less handy.

The biggest difference on the back is the fact that w7 displays its shade names there while Naked 2 displays them inside under the pans.

Both palettes hold the same amount of product = 15,6 g. 12 x 1,3 g each eyeshadow!

While the Naked 2 has a mirror inside, the w7 hasn't any at all.

As you can see this is an obvious dupe of the Naked 2 palette!!!

SWATCHES

 From Left-Right!
upper row = Buff, Camel, Sand, Dust, Chocolate, Topaz, Earth, Storm, Silk, Wave, Thunder, Onyx
lower row = Foxy, Half baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout
I used a primer potion before swatching the shades on my left arm! However you can't see much of the first Naked 2 color (Foxy) since it's pretty much a very light skin tone color.

Swatched on my arm you can see that there is a difference when it comes to pigmentation. The colors are the same as the Naked 2 ones, nothing to deny but it can't keep up with the pigmentation!!!! However  it's pigmentation doesn't have to hide either. I would still give it a good note.

Pros & Cons

Pros: lighter packaging and definitely the cheaper price of it, 8,99 € instead of 47,90 €!

Cons: I dislike the fact that there is no information on where it is made (Made in China?), less pigmented than Naked 2; it contains silicones & parabens while Naked 2 is paraben free, vegan-friendly and cruelty-free; the dual-brush is too small as as a shadow brush for my taste.

Final Thoughts:

I would say this is quite a good palette for 8,99 € and a great present to give away to someone who is not that much into makeup. The holding of the shades on the eyes can stay up to 4-5 hours and if you don't mind up a touch-up this is really not a bad eyeshadow palette for you. I would say it's perfect for school girls that have started using makeup and don't want to or can't spend so much money.

If you wanna order it too, I can provide you with a 5% off promotion code on kosmetik4less.de
Use the code 5PRK4L until 31.08.14, except on essence and Sigma products!

THANKS FOR READING! HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!

Maybelline Fit Me Anti-shine Sticks!

Hi.

Today's post is dedicated to the Maybelline Fit Me Anti-shine Sticks.

What you didn't know about these? OMG You are missing out on something!

Long story short:

What L'Oréal says about them:
Our first gel stick foundation with an anti-shine core
Fresh gel foundation blends to a natural matte finish
Lightweight powders in the anti-shine core instantly dissolve excess oil

Why You'll Love It

It’s one-step perfection.
The first of its kind – lightweight gel stick foundation with an anti-shine powder core:

  • Powder core instantly dissolves excess oil.
  • For flawless, shine-free skin and tailor-made natural matte coverage.
  • Easy to apply and great on-the go.
  • Available in 12 oil-free shades.

For Best Results

Apply to your face and blend evenly with your fingertips.

These are really amazing!!! I hated the Fit me foundation, bought a bottle and the foundation was not my skin tone at all and the formula was gross too. But these little sticks are quite awesome. Very handy, you can put them in your bag and carry them with you whenever you feel like you're makeup's gonna need a refreshing or what I like to do with them is that I use the lightest and darkest colors I owe (Vanilla and Moka) for contouring and highlighting (which you can see below) and the middle color 250 Beige Soleil I use when I go swimming and I know I'm going to the city, to the mall or I'm meeting up with friends, then I only use this stick because you can apply it easily on your whole face and then you use your fingers to blend it in. No foundation brush or powder afterwards needed. :) It's practical when it has to be done quickly!

BEFORE contouring/highlighting:

I already prepared my face using firstly a Nivea day cream (normal to mixed skin) then the Revlon Photo Ready foundation in 004 Nude, I also filled in my eyebrows with the MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow. L'Oréal False Eyelash Extensions mascara in magnetic black on my lashes and the Maybelline Baby Lips balm in mint fresh.

I like to blend the darker color with my Real Techniques expert face brush and the highlight color with my Real Techniques stippling brush.

AFTER

The Result!!! :) I think the finish is clearly a more flawless face. I added a bit of Benefit Coralista Blush on my cheeks and I powered it with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 006 Warm Beige. My fache might look on all pictures a bit oily or shiny but actually it wasn't at all, this is probably only because of the flash light, my face was actually matte on each of them.

I carry one of these little sticks every where I go. So easy to apply to the whole face and great for touch ups on the move. Leaves me with a natural flawless finish. Love the gel formula of it = Perfection. Only con, these are pretty expensive, at least here in Luxembourg where I live, about 10-11€. I always try to buy them when I'm in Germany and go to DM, they are cheaper there, 6-7€.

HAVE YOU TRIED THEM ALREADY OUT?

Please leave a comment below! ^^

Have a nice evening!

P2 Nail Care Oil

Hello again,

Here I am again, blogging. I know it's been some weeks if not a whole month but omg I've been so busy! I was working on a top secret project :) and I also spend 6 days in Mallorca (Spain)! While I was planning on doing posts from there, my laptop wanted to do go on holidays too, he just didn't want to ask me for the username and password of the hotel wifi network I was given.

But nevermind...

Back to my actual post I wanted to talk about my new nails! ^^ I decided to try gel nails out, for the first time. Yes, first time. I was bored of my short broken nails and needed a change. It's been already 2 weeks since I got them in case you were wondering why they are already a bit grown out. The girl who made my nails used at the end a nail care oil by P2 that I thought was pretty good.

P2 hands & nails nail care oil

"Rich nail oil with nurturing almond oil and refreshing lime aroma for intensive care of nails and cuticles. With vitamin E and F."

BEFORE

AFTER

I think even a blind can tell there is a huge difference between before and after! :)
It smells good, it's all day lasting and I guess pretty cheap, this little miracle costs about 2,50€.

So if you're living in Germany or close to it like me and you plan a shopping trip, go to DM and pick this up!!!!

Have a nice day!

DM Haul (Drugstore/Drogerie)

Hiiii,

Here I am again! I was at DM some day again and I wanted to show you what I bought this time.

Starting with makeup!

I repurchsed one of the maybelline Fit me foundation sticks, this time I decided to take another number, #250 sun beige instead of #120 classic ivory, because believe it or not I got a little tan and now I feel like #120 is too light for me. These sticks are so great, the formula is quite nice, it has a good coverage and is easy to blend with the fingers or makeup brush :)
I also restocked my favorie pen that I like to use for my eyebrows. I'm talking about the essence longlasting eye pencil in 'hot chocolate'. It's just the perfect color for my eyebrows.
I also bought one more Astor soft sensation lipcolor butter in #011 feling feline. That would be my 3rd 'chubby stick' by Astor.
I also needed to buy new tweezers because I lost mine and I needed to do my eyebrows so badly and since this one was so cheap, not even 2€ as I remember, it does the job quite right.
And last but not least I got turned on by the new Astor lipsticks from the Heidi Klum collection. The Dorient recommended one of the a few days ago and so I had to take a closer look at these and I was quite impressed by them too. Very pigmented while swatching! I haven't put any of them on yet but since it's almost summer, this summer screams for bright lipstick colors. :D

A little swatch of the 3 colors I bought! The Dorient mentionned that she thought ARTY looks similar to MAC Impassionated and it comes really close to it thought. I do have bouth too. If you wanna see a comparison of those two colors just let me know and I might put up some swatch pictures. I think I picked the 3 best colors from this collection and if I also like them on my lips I might buy a few more.

For my nails I had to buy some nailpolish remover since I was running out of it. I bought one with sponge, love these to remove glitter nail polish and I bought a simple one for quick removement. I also picked up 3 colors from the brand P2, two of the new satin supreme colors and a green one from the regular collection.

I bought hair removing cream for my legs cuz in summer I don't like to shave them since I always get little pimples on my tights and I find it easy to avoid this buy using removement cream plus this make them even a bit tighter. Bought my favorite tooth paste and I also bought a handlotion that has shea butter and argan oil in it. I might have said it a 100 times so far but I have really dry hands and it's sometimes hard to keep them moistrized over the whole day since I often forget to put hand cream on them. So by buying a hand lotion with a pump I find it easier to use this after using my regular hand soap. ^^

I went back to an old favorite of mine that I always bought back then when we had Schlecker's in Luxembourg (they are closed now).  And I bought already 2 cuz these are not very big and I wanted a little stock of them cuz I decided to not use the bebe young care and rexona deodorant that I normally use. I don't know if you have already heard of the big scandal lately in the news. Almost every deodorant has aluminium in them and this substance can cause cancer. And that's why I won't use them anymore!!!!

I also grapped a bit of food at DM. Bought 3 fitness bar with vanilla-strawberry  and a beetroot-horseradish cream. Had to buy this one since I was so impressed by the color and already saw someone on instagram using this one, that I had to have it for myself. BTW these fitness bars are by far the best I've ever tried. They were only 50 cents one, I think next time I'll grab a bunch more ;)

That's it for today! ^^

Early Birthday Wishlist :P

Hiiii guys,

Like last year I decided to do an early birthday wishlist to give my friends & family already a hint what I would REALLY like to get :P No one likes presents more than me and no one hates bad presents as much as I do. To avoid this I made a little template with things that would be amazing as birthday presents :D

1. The Larsson & Jennings swatch with black leather strap. I'm aware that this baby costs 247€. It looks similar to my Daniel Wellington watch but I love this look and I would like to have a watch with a black clock-face ^^
2. I fell in love with these Tory Burch bracelets. I'd most like it in black but orange and pink look amazing to me too :P
3. Since I have a new phone (i-phone 5) I also need a new phone case. And the one that hit my eyes is this cute bunny phone case by moschino. Available at shopbop.com for 65€.
4. About 420€... yeah worth a try... lol maybe there is a crazy person out there who wants to see these on me?!
5. A few new brushes by Goss Wayne (LOVE him) would be nice. A whole set is too expensive I know but a few... :O Available at beautylish.com
6. The new Karl Lagerfeld fragance that came out this year in March. I think it smells really good.
7. And since fragrance is always a good idea... the new Guerlain La petite robe noir fragrance would be nice to receive too :)

To be continued...

ZOEVA Love is a Story & Rodeo Belle!

Hey my pretty ladies,

I purchased two of the 4 new Story eyeshadow palettes that Zoeva brought out recently ^^ and I thought I'd show you what they look like and do some swatches!

Both palettes hold 10 eyeshadows! They are very slim and easy to cary around. You can get them seperately for 16,80 € each or all 4 palettes for 60 €. I only bought these two palettes because I thought they look the most spectacular. I already do owe a few natural palettes and I didn't like the colors from the Retro Future palette very much.

LOVE IS A STORY

I love the packaging and color of this palette, it is very very cute! There is a quote inside of it that says 'Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly.' It has some bright colors but also some smokey, half are matt the other half shimmery. Appearently according to Pixiwoo, this palette also includes a few good dupes to some MAC colors. Over You is a dupe for MAC Ochre, Ladylike is a perfect match for MAC Jewel Blue and Past Romance a dupe for MAC Creme de Violet.

without flash light:

with flash light:

I think Past Romance, Man with a Plan, Little Kiss and Old fashioned look the most stunning. Unfortunately while I swatched this palette the simmer that you can obviously see in Past Romance don't show up, a little bit disappointing! But I still think it's a beautiful palette ;)

RODEO BELLE

At first when Zoeva showed some sneek peak picutres of the new palettes, I wasn't that much interested with this palette. But when other bloggers received these palettes (before they came out) and did some reviews on them, I kind of was even more in love with THIS palette that Love is a Story who I knew I would have to buy.

without flash light:

with flash light:

Now look at this stunning poping colors. My favorites from this palette would probably be Cactus Flower, Western Diva, Bang Bang, Hot Wind & Smoking Gun. Smoking Gun looks like a light metallic blue color but it's more a silver color on the lid and kind of darker than it looks like and Deadshot does not do it justice, it's a good dupe for MAC Beauty Marked but actually blends much better.

I received two little primers with the 2 palettes I bought. I haven't tried them yet so I can't give you any feedback on them yet!

All in all I would say these new Zoeva palettes are really really great. They are affordable and the pigmentation comes close to my beloved Urban Decan and MAC eyeshadows ;) you can order these and more amazing Zoeva products on their website http://www.zoeva-shop.de

Stay tuned for more soon!
