NOTD - Marc Jacobs 142 Fluorescent Beige

Hiiii,

Since my last post was a bit more personal talk than an actual blogspot, I thought I'll do a NOTD post about the nailpolish that you could see on the picture from the last post ^^ I recently purchased two shades from the brand Marc Jacobs.

Been loving Marc Jacobs designs since I discovered the brand for the first time and when they launched a beauty line and nailpolishes I was beyond excitment :D

I wasn't at all disappointed with the design of the nailpolish bottle and I was going to try some of his makeup stuff anyway. They are just so pretty!!!! This is one of the two shades I got, it's called Fluorescent Beige. It was one of the colors that hypnotized me immediately with it's shimmer. The other color I bought is brighter, like almost a fuchsia pink and called Shocking!

Marc Jacobs said about this neutral color: "I love the idea of something neutral being really eye-catching, like the fluorescent beige."

With this iridescent beige color comes a pink shimmer, that unfortunately doesn't show as much on the nails as it shines through the bottle but you can still see it sometimes depending on the change of light and sometimes it seems more like a beige creme.

Sometimes it looks a bit more taupe and sometimes just like an old pink but no matter which color it seems like, it's ALWAYS beautiful.

The formula is a dream! It's a more milky formula which I thought I would not like until I tried this nailpolish ^^ You'll should get a perfect coverage with 3 thin coats.

You can get this beauty in the bottle at sephora.com for 18€/$.

 Thank you for reading!

NOTD - Plaid/Tartan Nails!

Ho Ho Hooo Merry Christmas :)

Just a little post to show you what I came up with yesterday for the holiday/winter season!

I was bored and since I haven't done anything interesting with my nails lately I suddenly had the idea, looking at my plaid Zara scarf, to do plaid nails. And this is the result :D

Two layers of red nailpolish and then I drew some vertical and horizontally black and silver lines. Took me quite some time but I was doing it while watching one of my favorite series ^^

My thumb and three middle fingers turned out quite good thought while I totally screwed up my pinky finger xD Compared to my right hand, my left turned quite good. I have to practise thought...

RED : Avril le vernis #19 Rouge opéra
BLACK : Essence nail art freestyle & tip painter in #09 Mysterious black
SILVER : Essence nail art freestyle & tip painter in #03 Silver Surfer

Hope you like it. Leave a comment please!

And have a nice holiday season,

NOTD - 'Dream On' by Sinful Colors

Hiiii guys,

If you like fuchsia then you'll like the color I picked for my NOTD post!

It's from the brand Sinful Colors Professional and is called 'Dream On' :)

Pardon but I don't know what happed while shooting these pictures, I somehow managed to get something dark on my ringfinger and I didn't even notice until I loaded the pictures up xD

Actually this colors is matte as you can see here below but I like it more with a top coat over it! For me this is totally fuchsia, but maybe you could also say it's a neon popping purple and in the right light it has some amazing bright tones to it.

I applied it over my grown out gel nails (which I filled off quite a bit with a machine I have at home). I applied 2 thin coats and then my Seche Vite top coat.

Funny story, I can't remember when I actually bought this nailpolish, it wasn't recently for sure cuz this year I promised myself I'll stop being such a nailpolish maniac, so it must have been last year. I even forgot I have this polish but I found him in my storage and I fell in love with it all over again. I love this color, it's so 'damn in your face' and perfect to end a summer with.
I'd say this is one of the most beautiful colors Sinful Colors professional brought out and a must-have color for the nails.

Thanks for reading!

NOTD - Copy that look

Hey guys,

Here I am again! And I'm bringing you my newest nail design along. Since today is an important day in one of my friends life because she's getting married, I wanted to do my nails such as I saw them on a picture that popped up on my instagram wall some time ago.

This is what I'm talking about!!! Cute hein??? YESH super cute if you ask me :=D

And this is what I was able to create on my nails :)

Not such professional like above but I think I did quite a good job if you consider that I actually always suck at drawing hearts lol

I used following outils to create this look:

  • two layers of p2 670 elegant, waited until fully dry
  • then I draw the hearts on the tips of my nails using the essence nail art duo stylist which is a dotting tool. I used the bigger side! I just dotted the bigger side in a few drops of Catrice's 690 Fred Said Red and then dotted the nailpolish on the end of my nails
  • once that coat dried too I applied my favorite top coat by Seche vite et voilà ^^
Okay, now I have to go and prepare already some stuff for today!

I wish you a nice weekend ;)

NOTD - Winter Wonderland

Merry Xmas Hooo Hooo Hooo,

In one of my recent NOTD posts I already showed you the beautiful color by P2 '120 Urban Queen' (<<< for more pictures click on the link) and now I just wanted to show you a more Christmas/winter look in combination with Essie '291 on a silver platter' from the holiday Encrusted Treasures 2013 collection.

Also very nice Essie '291 On a silver platter' applied on all nails ^^

I love this Essie polish, the color is so amazing. It's described as: 'violet holographic glitter and antique silver add bold contrast to this pearlescent gold polish that proclaims: the world is yours for the taking'. It's a gold/silver color with blue-green glitters. I applied 2 coats and the lasting was okay.

I hope you all have some nice holidays! Enjoy the time with your family :)

More coming soon!

NOTD - Chanel TABOO

Hello,

Today's NOTD is a special one. It's one of Chanel's topselling nailpolish called '#583 TABOO' ^^

with flash light:

I saw this so many time on instagram, seems like every famous fashionista is a fan of it. It was released this year (2013) in Spring.

It's described as a 'violine with red iridescence'. It's a deep purple with a red and blue ton to it with purple, red, blue and pink sparkles. Indoors it looks more like a blackened pruple. If you find it too dark, you could put on two coat, take a pad with some acetone on it and slightly go over yours nails to remove some of the purple, then you'll have a more red color. But I LOVE the color the way it comes from the bottle, it is like you have the galaxy on your nails. It's already opaque after one color but is recommanded to use two coats and a topcoat for a shiny finish. Pretty long holding up to one week with minor tip wear. I don't know how you feel about Chanel polishes but for me they have an amazing formula, easy to apply and longlasting!

I hope you like my true color swatches, I did not use any photoshop to edit the pictures and sorry for my dry hands, winter is here.

Buy it as long as you can find it ;)

NOTD - P2 Volume Gloss '120 Urban Queen'

Heeeey,

It feels like ages since my last NOTD post! So here we go with a nice color by P2 (available only in Germany as far as I know) called Urban Queen from their Volume Gloss polish range!
These new Volume Gloss polishes came out this year, they have an cube bottle, which I think looks more expensive, and the brush is larger compared to the regular range, which I like better.

NOTD

'120 Urban Queen'

with flash light:

While the color in the bottle looked to me like light grey in the store and not so spectacular, I thought the gloss finish might turn it into a more beautiful color than it acutally is, but the real color on the nail has a grey-mauve undertone which makes it quite a really really nice color.
Lasting is okay! They tend to tipwear after 3-4 days, which I think is really okay for a 2 bucks polsih aka drugstore polish. Full coverage after 2 coats. The gloss effect is also nice, it kind of looks like I used a top coat over it, although I didn't! But I don't think you can compare them with gel nails, sorry P2!

I really like this color and I will use it more often for sure! You can wear this with every outfit I guess.

Sorry, if my cuticles are disturbing looking! I'm washing my hands like every 10 minutes at work (because I have) so it's kind of hard to keep them nice. I try my best.

THANKS FOR READING!!!!

NOTD - OPI Stay The Night (Liquid Sand)

Hi my lovelies! ^^

I needed a week off from Blogger cuz I've been working so much lately and I also started studying for my finals, that are already next week.

I wanted to show you off a very beautiful liquid sand polish, from the OPI Mariah Carey collection. I was kind of a good girl and didn't buy any nailpolish for at least 2 months until a few days ago xD (need to show you some of the most beautiful Chanel colors in the next posts). So the Nailpolish Of The Day is actually a mini I got by a friend that bought the mini collection set and liked this color so much that she bought the big bottle and gave me the mini as a gift :D

Nailpolish Of The Day : OPI Stay The NIght

Stay the Night is a black based sand polish with a matte finish small and some red glitters. It's pretty sheer so I needed three coats. It's the first sand polish I have but I'm planning on buying more of these. This trend started beginning this year with the release of the OPI Mariah Carey collection but now many brands have released sand polishes too in many different colors. I've seen some beautiful shades by P2, I'm counting the days down for my next trip to Germany where I can buy them. And of course I'll post pictures here or/and on Instagram.

Have a nice weekend!

NOTD - Pastel Ombre Nails!

Hiiii,

I wanted to try a trend that started already last year and that cought my attention some time ago. It's about painting each of your fingers in a different color but they have to be of the same or similar color range to create an ombre effect or you can also do it like me and take a few different pastel colors.

Nails Of The Day -  pastel ombre nails

I really like this effect and I mind try this trend with different colors ;) and then I'll blog about it of course!

The colors I used:

I used the 4 color pastel set by Primark and since I have 5 fingers I used Catrice 02 Don't Tell Mademoiselle! on my little finger.

As you can probably already see from the pictures above, the 4 Primark colors that cost 2,50€ all together are not the best. The formula is really really bad, too thick and at the same time not even on the nails, the 8 fingers I used them on looked kind of good for one day (and by good I mean they didn't chip) and then on the 2nd day they already looked like I had them on for a week. Maybe this set was supposed to be for little girls that don't care for quality. The Catrice polish wich looks amazing compared to the Primark colors was okay and had a nice formula.

Final thoughts: I think this is an AMAZING trend. After all, even if I wasn't satisfied with the quality of the Primark polishes, I'll probably repaint my nails like this on a sunny day when I feel for it ;) or maybe get the same colors in better quality using high-end polishes.

Have a nice week!

NOTD - I'll take you to the "CANDY SHOP" by Deborah Lippmann!

Hi my nailpolish freaks,

It's Nail Of The Day time again! ^^

Today's guest is: "Candy Shop" by Deborah Lippmann

Let's get the party started!

It looks like a pink frosted cupcake with sprinkles color. This is such a supercute color, it makes me smile whenever I look at it. Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop is described as a bubble gum pink (base) with glitter. It actually think it is more of milky pale pink, the base is more jelly like so the glitter can really show through and take the centre stage.
It goes on very smooth and all the glitter lays flat on the nail and you can either go sheer with this, with only one coat with a small amount of glitter or you could go 2-3 shades and layer on the glitter. I did 2 layers for this look. I also believe that this pale pink really goes well with my fair skin tone. :)

The only negative fact about this polish is it costs a hell of a lot money, it's 22€!
But if you still want this look without spending that much money, there is a dupe to it by Claire's that looks pretty much the same ;) and sure isn't that expensive.

Have a nice sunny weekend!

XoXo

NOTD - China Glaze Pink Voltage (Neon)

Hey,

First of all, I know it feels like a century since my last NOTD post. I know. I know. I know! I'm trying to do some more in the coming posts and there will be for sure some, since I took already some nice pictures of my favorite polishes I bought recently.

I promised on instagram (IRSADAxROCKs) that my next NOTD post will be about:

Nails of the day - China Glaze #1006 Pink Voltage

If you're wondering why I'm showing you so many pictures. It's because I couldn't stop taking pictures of this amazing polish on my fingers!!!! This is such a beautiful bright pink! It's NEON pink color with blue micro shimmer in it and with a semi-matte finish. But if you are not a fan of matte polishes you can put some topcoat over it and they will look such as amazing as without it. It's drying superfast on the nails and the lasting was a dream too. Just the right amount of flash. I have got compliments right, left and center. ^^

I can't wait to put this on in summer again. What do you think of neon colors in general?

Have a nice week!

NOTD - Essence #121 Gold Fever

Hiii,

It feels like a century that I did a NOTD post so it's been about time!

Let me introduce you to essence 121 gold fever:

It's a gold glitter polish with orange sparkles. You need 2-3 coats of it to get a full coverage and the lasting is pretty good. This might be one of the most amazing colors of the essence polishes! Hard to compare to any other brand, haven't seen this mix so far from another brand. I like the new bottles of essence cuz the color is also on the bottle lid which no other polish has. Really nice color for a drugstore polish. Get it as long as you can!

Kisses,

Irsada
