How to clean your makeup brushes

Hello my lovelies,

Since I showed you in my last post my whole Real Techniques collection, I thought it would be also a good idea to show you how I clean them:)

Btw if this post looks strange to you and the appearence isn't as usual it's because I'm on holidays now. I will write the upcoming posts on my blogger app, so don't be worried about how it shows, I might edit it when I find some time.

So brush cleaning is a big theme and there are a few tips and tricks that can help you to get them so clean they will look like new.

I use brushes to apply my makeup since a few years and I think I figured out the way to clean them the best!

I'm NOT saying this is the BEST way to do it, I'm just sharing my method. And for my method you will need the following items:

- dirty brushes (of course)
- a little tank or something else you can fill in a bit of water
- brush sosp or cleanser
- a towel

So you fillyour tank with some water (cold or warmer, it doesn't matter), enought so that when you put your dirty brushes the way down into it, the hair is all in the water.
Leave them for 1-2 minutes like that!!!

Close up! ^^

And this is like the major trick of cleaning them actually! I noticed when I washed my brushes like most of girls do, one by one or more, that the ones that got wet before I got to use any baby shampoo or whatever where cleaner and so I did test and wetend them all before doing it as usual and was fascinated.

After 1-2 minutes you can let the water out.

Now the soap will be used! So you dip your brush in and swirl it a few times around until it's all soaped up.

Do that to all the brushes that need a cleaning!

At the next step you take one, swirl it in your hand until all the makeup/dirt seems to come out and then hold the brush under water.

Repeat this to all your remaining brushes and put them once they are washed horizontally on your towel. I first swirl them also on the towel before putting them down.

If your brush isn't 100% clean after this process, repeat it!

And if this method still doesn't help to get all the makeup out, then I suggest you to try it with some liquid dish soap ;)
And if that doesn't help... you're brush has probably reached his end and should be replaced!

I hope this was in any case usuful to you and if there are some questions left, you can leave a comment and I will reply asap.

With love,

IrSaDa

My favorite lipsticks!

Heeey guys,

First of all, before I start with the actual post I just wanted to say sorry for not posting anything in the last 2-3 weeks, this time it wasn't because I was too busy, it was all due to stupid circomstances... I was going to do an UNBOXING post about a package from a dear friend abroad (USA), so I was waiting and hoping it would arrive quite soon but it all took longer, like it was send almost a month ago and I still didn't get it :(
We both don't know but it seems like for some reason it arrived here in Luxembourg (where I live) and then was send to Switzerland, no idea why and some day ago, since my friend was finally able to find the tracking number and track it down, it looks like on Friday it was send back to Luxembourg :) So I hope I'll get it on Monday.

I just couldn't wait anymore, it drove me crazy that things went wrong so here is an actually non planned post!!!

Since I was tagged on Instagram a few days ago by the lovely @poppy_mallone asking me to show up my favorite lipsticks, which I already did with this first picture below (>>>@Irsada_lxbg<<<) I decided to take that idea further and do a blogpost with some swatches for you guys ^^

It was kind of hard but I had it down to these 9 lipsticks that I love over everything and that I'll buy over and over again as soon as they are finished.

SWATCHES using natural day light

MAC Ruby Woo
Bold red matte color. I barely wear red lipstick because I always believe it doesn't suit me or let's just say it out loud, I look like a russian whore with it but this one is one of the few that I can wear without doubt :)

MAC Rebel
Pink plum with satin finish. Not only one of my favorite lipsticks. I guess everyone owns it. One of Mac's bestsellers I would say.

Maybelline Brazen Beige
light peachy beige color, from the Maybelline Color Sensational Stripped Nudes that came out last year.

YSL Rouge Volupté n°1
creamy natural pinky beige. This one feels so creamy on the lips! Also well pigmented.

Calvin Klein Retro
actually the real name is delicious truth. It's a very sheer candy pink. It's more of a decent color on the lips with a hint of shiny pink.

Swarovski Crystal Vintage Rose
soft rose color that contains candelilla wax and powdered Swarovski crystals and iridescent pearl.

Bobbi Brown Pale Pink
natural pink, more peachy toned thought but well pigmented and with a creamy matte finish

Flormar supershine n° 508
light redish color with supershine creamy texture and kind of a metalic finish

MAC Brave
nude pink color, comes off a bit brownish and has a satin finish

Yeah I'm more into pinky natural colors and sometimes it overcomes me and I choose a more vibrant color like Mac Ruby Woo or Rebel but all in all I like more of a classic look on the lips, then I go for more color on the eyes ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and kisses :***

Favorites of 2014

Hiii guys,

I put all my makeup favorites of 2014 for you together!

In the beginning of 2014 I got the Lorac Pro and a bit later the Urban Decay Naked 3. If you like a lot of neutral matte to shiny shades from light to dark then I suggest you the Lorac Pro palette and if you are more into neutral pinky colors then you need to get the Naked 3.

When it comes to highlighting and contouring, I loved the Maybelline Fit Me sticks a lot, they have a few shades from very light to very dark but if you blend them good in they can be the perfect base before you apply highlight and bronzer powder. If you scroll a bit down you can see that I reviewed these Fit Me sticks and how I use them.
I would sometimes use my Bourjouis chocolate bronzer over it and depending on how shiny I want my face to look like I would often swith from my MAC Rihanna Diamonds Frost to NYX Born to glow liquid illuminator, both are really good pigmented.
For the under eye part, in the morning when you wake up and you look like a zombie, I like to use the NARS radiant creamy concealer. This concealer is simply amazing, it works better on me than the Bourjouis healthy mix éclat & anti-fatigue correcting concealer.
And to fix, especially the under eye part, I like to use loose powder and my favorite has become the MaxFactor Ellen Betrix loose powder. I just tap my Real Techniques setting brush into it and then put some over my radiant concealer. You can't do anything wrong using those two products together ;)

In Spring I purchased the Benefit Sugarbomp blush, it's a rush flush, 4 shades that you have to swirl to get the perfect mix of pop of color on your cheeks. Like all Benefit blushes, really beautiful and all day staying!

For the eyebrows you can't find any better products than those from Anastasia Beverly Hill, they really do what they promise. I got the dip brow pomade in "Chocolate" and can't imaging life without it anymore.

From the brows to the eyes. Gel liner. Bobbi Brown... Do I have to say more? I don't think so. Buy it! You won't deny it.

And back to Anastasia Beverly Hills.
After summer I got my hands on the ABH Amrezy palette which is absolutely georgous I think every great MUA has reviewed this palette with big excitement & loved it and so do I. MUST HAVE PALETTE!!!!

Last but not least: mascaras.
There were 3 apart from my Benefit They're real mascara, that I also loved to use.
Artdeco Wonder Lash mascara, this mascara is told to be the exaclty same as the famous Chanel mascara, whose exact I can't tell you right now. It does a really great job.
Catrice Glamour Doll volume mascara, in case you don't want to spend that much money this is a really great drugstore mascara that I'll keep buying as soon as I'm out of it.
And of course a new love that I discovered: L'Oréal Faux-Cils papillon or better known as the butterfly mascara! Really like the brush, it makes them longer and the formula isn't that clumpy.

That's it for 2014. Last chapter closed!

If you wonder why I haven't picked any foundations, it's because I practically used always the same in 2014 but since 2015 started I already tried 2 new foundations and also 2 new mascaras plus one eyebrow product that I fell in love with but that I will all tell you more specifically in another post ;)

Have a nice week

Maybelline Fit Me Anti-shine Sticks!

Hi.

Today's post is dedicated to the Maybelline Fit Me Anti-shine Sticks.

What you didn't know about these? OMG You are missing out on something!

Long story short:

What L'Oréal says about them:
Our first gel stick foundation with an anti-shine core
Fresh gel foundation blends to a natural matte finish
Lightweight powders in the anti-shine core instantly dissolve excess oil

Why You'll Love It

It’s one-step perfection.
The first of its kind – lightweight gel stick foundation with an anti-shine powder core:

  • Powder core instantly dissolves excess oil.
  • For flawless, shine-free skin and tailor-made natural matte coverage.
  • Easy to apply and great on-the go.
  • Available in 12 oil-free shades.

For Best Results

Apply to your face and blend evenly with your fingertips.

These are really amazing!!! I hated the Fit me foundation, bought a bottle and the foundation was not my skin tone at all and the formula was gross too. But these little sticks are quite awesome. Very handy, you can put them in your bag and carry them with you whenever you feel like you're makeup's gonna need a refreshing or what I like to do with them is that I use the lightest and darkest colors I owe (Vanilla and Moka) for contouring and highlighting (which you can see below) and the middle color 250 Beige Soleil I use when I go swimming and I know I'm going to the city, to the mall or I'm meeting up with friends, then I only use this stick because you can apply it easily on your whole face and then you use your fingers to blend it in. No foundation brush or powder afterwards needed. :) It's practical when it has to be done quickly!

BEFORE contouring/highlighting:

I already prepared my face using firstly a Nivea day cream (normal to mixed skin) then the Revlon Photo Ready foundation in 004 Nude, I also filled in my eyebrows with the MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow. L'Oréal False Eyelash Extensions mascara in magnetic black on my lashes and the Maybelline Baby Lips balm in mint fresh.

I like to blend the darker color with my Real Techniques expert face brush and the highlight color with my Real Techniques stippling brush.

AFTER

The Result!!! :) I think the finish is clearly a more flawless face. I added a bit of Benefit Coralista Blush on my cheeks and I powered it with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 006 Warm Beige. My fache might look on all pictures a bit oily or shiny but actually it wasn't at all, this is probably only because of the flash light, my face was actually matte on each of them.

I carry one of these little sticks every where I go. So easy to apply to the whole face and great for touch ups on the move. Leaves me with a natural flawless finish. Love the gel formula of it = Perfection. Only con, these are pretty expensive, at least here in Luxembourg where I live, about 10-11€. I always try to buy them when I'm in Germany and go to DM, they are cheaper there, 6-7€.

HAVE YOU TRIED THEM ALREADY OUT?

Please leave a comment below! ^^

Have a nice evening!

Zweibrücken (OUTLET) + Saarbrücken Haul!

Hey my lovely readers,

As you probably might have figured out by now I LOVE SHOPPING!!!! And I finally were able to go to a nice fashion hotspot where you can make quite some great deals. Yepp, outlets, love them, designer outlets, can't be enough of them!

So yesterday I went to Zweibrücken (Germany) and on our way home we kind of stopped by in Saarbrücken as well where I bought one thing from Primark and Mac and Starbucks.

The Style Outlets Zweibrücken

Armani, Ralph Lauren, Hallhuber, Swarovski, Mango, Versace, Fossil, Marc o'polo, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Liebeskind, Adidas, Nike, Bench, Converse, United Colors of Benneton, ... and many more.

Plus they had a promotion, from the 5th to the 12th you can get some extra 10-20% in most of the stores there with the Glamour shopping card that was included in the german Glamour editions =D

Since I bought this magazine last month and discovered that the Style Outlets are included in their promotion I was really really excited, such as my friend who joined me. But unfortunately the card wasn't included in my magazine since I bought it here in Luxembourg and the card was only sold in Germany. But we went to the information center when we got there and we got a new magazine WITH CARD FOR FREE

My haul

I spent most of my money at the Ralph Lauren store, these are my first purchases by this amazing brand, and I'm not a Polo shirt wearer at all but I liked these on me and so they are my first Polo shirts =D

RALPH LAUREN BAG in blue-red

and some Polo shirts ^^
(yeah I know it's a lot of purple but I LOVE purple)

I also bought a grey Polo shirt for my little brother!

MICHAEL KORS watch in rose gold

I finally have an MK watch yeahhhhhhh and guess what?

I only payed 129€ for it in total bahahahahaa one of the best deals in my life!!!

SWATCH

I already have this ring in white but I bought it in this pink-tangerine color two because it was 22€ instead of 35€ in the stores here and I haven't seen this color here at all.

The Body Shop

Also picked this green eyeshadow and this berry lipstick by the body shop up.

Haul from Saarbrücken

PRIMARK

Can't have enough clutches!

DM

Whenever I can go to DM I have to buy nailpolishes, and I love these P2 sand polishes so I bought a bunch of more colors from the range!

What do you think of these two bracelets? Don't they remind you of something? Something like the new Swarovski bracelets that came out recently?!? Well for me they look a lot alike.

Funny story, I saw the second bracelet on a friend last Saturday and I said to another friend sitting next to me 'Look she bought one of the Swarovski bracelets that you see on everyone right now' and my friend heard me and turned around saying 'No, it's not from Swarovski! I bought this for 5 bucks at DM in Germany' LOL I know... XD

And you know what? They weren't even 5€ but only 3,95 € hahahaaaaaaa so I got two of them, the first one is more matt then the second one if you haven't noticed it.

MAC Cosmetics

Since I can't buy MAC here and we were randomly in Saarbrücken I had to head to Douglas and buy something from the new Rihanna range :D I picked up a cream highlighter/blush in the color DIAMONDS

Sorry, I'm so far you can't really see it.

STARBUCKS

I'm the proud owner of a Starbucks cup now! yeahhhhhh it's been about time!

I really enjoyed this shopping trip that lasted all day! I must say it's really worth to check this outlet out ;) and I can't wait to go there again! But next time I hopefully have an even larger budget :P

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND! and keep shopping!
